PRAMIPEXOLE

Overview

Pramipexole belongs to a class of drugs called dopamine agonists. A class of drugs is a group of medications that work in a similar way. These drugs are often used to treat similar conditions.

Pramipexole works by activating certain receptors in your brain. This helps decrease the severity of Parkinson’s disease and restless legs syndrome.

 

 

Dosage

Adults should use the below instructions for correct pramipexole dosage:

  • Week 1: 0.125 mg taken 3 times per day

  • Week 2: 0.25 mg taken 3 times per day

  • Week 3: 0.5 mg taken 3 times per day

  • Week 4: 0.75 mg taken 3 times per day

  • Week 5: 1 mg taken 3 times per day

  • Week 6: 1.25 mg taken 3 times per day

  • Week 7: 1.5 mg taken 3 times per day
